Where Can I Serve?

As a brand new work, there will be many areas of service to fill.  We ask that you pray and seek God and be willing to fulfill His purpose for you in our body of believers.

Worship through Music

Music moves the soul and touches the heart.  God-honoring worship is something we strive for.  Musicians anointed to help usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit are called to lead others through worship into His presence.  Some are gifted in playing instruments; some are vocalists.  These volunteers are an extremely important part of the ministry of our fellowship, using their talents and gifts for the Lord's glory.

A vital part of the worship service is the technical aspect.  Those who are computer and audio-visual savvy are needed to help with equipment set-up and tear down, sound engineering, running the slides program for song lyrics and sermons and to video tape the pastor and upload to YouTube.

The usher team at A Fellowship After God's Own Heart fills an important role.  They are involved in greeting, directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free.  The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Care Leaders

People willing to lead a monthly small group meeting with a time to fellowship and learn about Christ.  The activities and Bible study will be directed by the Senior Pastor.  These meetings give the opportunity for people to get connected and cared for in a meaningful community of believers.

Host Homes

As a new fellowship, we are in need of places to meet outside of the church for Care Meetings, Bible Studies, Ladies Meetings and Youth Meetings.  This is a way for one to serve without a leadership role - opening your home as a blessing to others.

Youth Leaders

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 26:2).  Jesus loved children.  In Matthew 19:14  Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  These volunteers have a heart after God with a desire to love and train up children and youth in biblical truths and precepts.  This team of volunteers will be supported with training and provided with learning programs directed by the Senior Pastor.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated.   Prayer moves the Hand and Heart of God.  A Fellowship After God's Own Heart is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty.  Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. There are those called and anointed of God to pray.  We encourage and train these individuals to minister to those needing prayer.  A time is opened up after each Sunday service, to bring those petitions before the Lord.  Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missions prayer needs.
